Corporate tree planting with 100 Million Trees Project

Timeless Sash Windows have partnered with the 100 Million Trees Project to sponsor and plant 2500 trees on 1/4 acre of their own land. This is a dense planting method called the Miyawaki method after pioneering Japanese botanist, Professor Akira Miyawaki. This method of planting trees close together encourages fast growth and competition. The trees planted by the team at Timeless alongside the Irish Forestry Services are: Scots Pine, Birch Pendula, Oak, Alder, Malus Sylvestris, Prunus Avium, Prunus Padus, Spindle, Sorbus, Aria, Sorbus Acuparia, Cratageus Monogyna, Prunus Spinosa, Hazel, Viburnum Opulus, and Rosa Canina. These are all native to Ireland with the aim of encouraging biodiversity.

There were almost 30 people from the company getting together to plant trees and it is thanks to them that the job was done in less than two hours!
