The new Hard Rock Hotel Dublin opened it’s doors to welcome customers in 2020. The original Parliament Hotel had a full makeover by the new owners.
We were delighted to work as the main windows contractor on this focal attraction in Dublin city.

The Hard Rock Hotel concept
The interiors include memorabilia from Irish favourites such as Phil Lynott, Van Morrison, Hozier and U2. Additionally there are pieces from artists that have played truly memorable gigs in Ireland.
“With a presence spanning over 76 countries, Hard Rock International continues its expansion into Europe with the opening of Hard Rock Hotel Dublin. Located on Exchange Street Upper near the Temple Bar district, Hard Rock Hotel Dublin is a celebration of the rich cultural and musical history of Dublin, bringing Hard Rock’s signature music-infused vibes to the heart of the city.”
Construction and History
Located on Lord Edward Street, opposite City Hall in Temple Bar, the hotel comprises two structures. Firstly, the listed red brick building. This was originally known as the Exchange Buildings, and later as Parliament Hotel. It dates from 1912. Secondly, the adjacent newly rebuilt Fashion House, which now hosts the entrance and reception.
A ‘rainbow’ glass link bridge connects the buildings, with impressive views of the windows at the back by
Timeless Sash Windows.
“The success of the development requires both buildings to compliment and support each other. This is reflected in the approach to the design of the Fashion House, which references the historical context of the Parliament Hotel and surrounding buildings, with elements of contemporary detailing and carefully selected materials.” say
Consarc Design.
The four star Hard Rock Hotel features 120 bedrooms, a bar, restaurants and a merchandise shop. However, the jewel in its crown is a fifth-floor penthouse boasting a four-poster bed, and a handwritten letter by Van Morrison to guitarist Mick Cox. Not to mention a private, rooftop terrace where guests can barbecue for up to 40 friends and colleagues.
We worked with Consarc Design and John Paul Construction in 2019 to complete the windows in the listed building.
