03/01/2023We are delighted to inform you that there are new grants for window restoration in Ireland in 2023. The Built Heritage Investment Scheme and Historic Structures Fund are open for applications until early January 2023.
Built Heritage Investment Scheme
For homeowners in conservation areas or of protected structures in Ireland, please be aware that Malcolm Noonan TD, Minister of State for Heritage and Electoral Reform at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, has announced the continued implementation of the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS) and Historic Structures Fund (HSF) in 2023.
Grants for Window Restoration
The closing date for applications for the Built Heritage Investment Scheme is 13th January (Dublin), but is depending on each local county council.
Note, that this grant is for protected structures and conservation areas only.
Also, as in previous years, double glazed units, storm glazing, replacement of historic glass with energy-efficient glass are not covered under the grant.

The grant covers a total amount from 2500€ to 15000€ covering up to 50% of the works.
